1. Who provides this warranty

The contractor identified in your signed project agreement, doing business as Nikao Hardscapes ("Nikao"), provides this limited workmanship warranty for eligible hardscape work identified in that agreement.

2. Covered projects and term

This warranty applies only when the signed project agreement expressly includes it. It covers the installation workmanship of the paver patio, walkway, or retaining wall work identified in that agreement for 15 years from the documented date of substantial completion. It does not automatically extend to earlier projects or to work performed under a different agreement.

3. What is covered

Nikao will correct defects caused by its installation workmanship in the covered hardscape scope. Depending on the agreed installation, that can include defective base preparation or compaction, edge installation, wall assembly, or drainage installation performed by Nikao. Coverage depends on the cause of the problem, not only its appearance. An assessment may be needed to distinguish defective workmanship from product failure, outside damage, or site changes.

4. What Nikao will do

For a covered defect reported during the warranty period, Nikao will arrange a reasonable inspection and repair or reinstall the affected work at no charge for the labor and materials reasonably needed to correct the covered workmanship defect. The scope of correction is the affected work. Repairs will be scheduled with reasonable regard to safety, weather, access, and material availability. Exact color or texture matches may be unavailable because of weathering or discontinued products; a reasonably comparable replacement will be discussed when needed. Repair does not restart the original 15-year term.

5. What is outside this warranty

This is a workmanship warranty. It does not independently warrant the manufacture or inherent performance of pavers, wall units, sealers, or other purchased products. Separate manufacturer warranties, where available, are governed by their own terms. A product limitation does not exclude a problem caused by Nikao's defective installation of that product.

The following are not covered to the extent they cause the reported problem:

• Ordinary wear, stains, fading, efflorescence, or cosmetic variation that is not caused by defective installation and does not impair the intended function of the work.
• Failure to perform reasonable maintenance described in the project handover information, such as keeping drainage paths clear. Unrelated maintenance omissions do not void coverage for a workmanship defect.
• Loads or use outside the project design, accidental damage, misuse, or damaging chemicals.
• Alterations or damage caused by later excavation, utility work, other contractors, or changes to adjacent grading, structures, or drainage.
• Extraordinary flood, fire, or other external events, and ground movement or erosion not caused by defective covered installation.

Normal seasonal weather or routine Colorado freeze-thaw conditions do not, by themselves, exclude an otherwise covered workmanship defect. Routine cleaning, sealing, and replenishment of joint material are maintenance, unless the need to correct the affected condition results from defective covered installation.

This warranty does not cover sod or plant establishment, artificial turf, irrigation, interior remodeling, cleanouts, liquidation, or work outside the hardscape scope expressly identified in the agreement.

6. Customer and transfer

This warranty is issued to the original contracting customer for the original project address. It is not automatically transferable. Any transfer must be agreed by Nikao in writing.

7. How to request service

Contact support@nikaohardscapes.com or call 303-900-8687. Provide your name, project address, agreement or invoice reference if available, a description of the concern, when you noticed it, and photos where practical. Report concerns promptly after discovering them and allow reasonable access for inspection and agreed repairs. Contact Nikao before commissioning non-emergency corrective work so the condition can be assessed. Take reasonable steps to prevent immediate injury or further damage; urgent protective action does not automatically void coverage.

8. Other rights

This limited warranty is an additional express promise. It does not waive or restrict rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted, and it does not require a customer to surrender statutory rights to request an inspection or repair. Customers may have other rights under applicable law.
